Yogi Needs A Home

Picture
Yogi has not had the best start, he was bought from the free ads by a well meaning but unsuitable home because they couldn’t bear to leave him living in the environment he was in.  He’s only eight months old but was un-socialised and living with a back yard breeder in a car crate, thin and suffering from a skin disorder surrounded by unruly children and dogs who hated him.

Unfortunately his experiences with children meant he was not suitable for the new owners (they have two youngsters one who is only a baby) but they purchased him anyway, resulting in him nipping a friends five year old. For this reason Yogi will not be re-homed with children.

Yogi’s skin has been treated and his hair is growing back. He has also gained weight however he does have an acquired taste much preferring chicken and rice over dog food.

Yogi will need to be the only pet as he will chase cats and other small furries, although currently being fostered with a behaviourist in North Wales with several other dogs and showing no signs currently of dog aggression, due to his early lack of socialisation Yogi has little or no manners when in comes to canine meet and greets, preferring exuberance over politeness therefore for this reason we feel Yogi should be an only dog.

Yogi will also need someone at home with him most of the time as he can be vocal when left alone also being destructive in his previous home when left.

He is crate trained and quiet overnight. Although having issues with separation he is not clingy, as long as he knows where you are he is happy to go off and do his own thing but of course loves nothing better than to curl up along side you for a cuddle.
Thought must be given to annual vacations as he will not do well if kennelled.
Yogi is house trained, neutered, vaccinated, micro chipped flea and worm treated.

Any potential homes must have Shar Pei or similar experience and will be vetted, requiring a large secure garden where he will have room to run as due to his prey drive he will not be able to be exercised off lead.

Any potential owners will need to travel to meet Yogi in his current placement in Flintshire.
Yogi will have full rescue backup
